Confetti — Designer’s Ball (2019)

For their yearly Designer’s Ball event, DESIGNxRI asked Tellart to install something lightweight, cool, and interactive. Louis Kishfy and I approached this as a fun art project that could simultaneously serve as an opportunity to concept some simple gestural interactions using a Leap Motion. The aim of the piece was to discover what types of gestures were most intuitive and then use those to drive the experience.

The system comprises a Leap Motion sensor, a Mac Mini running a custom openFrameworks (C++) app, and a projector. The code is viewable here.
